Lieutenant Colonel Donald L. Land Jr, Commander

Lt Col Donald L. Land is the current Professor of Aerospace Studies and the Commander of Air Force ROTC Detachment 592 at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. In this capacity, he leads a cadre of officers and enlisted members responsible for recruiting, educating, training and motivating officer candidates for the United States Air Force.

Lt Col Land entered the Air Force as a Distinguished Graduate from the Reserve Officer Training Corps of East Carolina University. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Quality Systems Management. Lt Col Land has served in a variety of roles and positions to include: Flight Commander, Executive Officer, Deployed Detachment Commander, ROTC and Joint Professional Military Education instructor, Numbered Air Force Division Chief, Squadron Commander, and Deputy Group Commander.
